Natural History Short

This is a film about the effect of the praying mantis has had on human culture. It uses paper animation style to subvert conventions of typical Natural History films.

This was made as part of a Natural History Unit at college. We were tasked with filming a praying mantis and making a short out of it. I wanted to do something different to the stereotypical natural history film so I decided to make something that was aimed at a youtube audience. I also wanted to challenge myself with the techniques I used on After Effects to make it.
